The choir and orchestra Musica Saeculorum are based in South Tyrol, Italy and were founded by the German conductor Philipp von Steinaecker. The musicians and singers are members of leading European ensembles and come from all parts of the continent.
They meet for several projects a year to explore and perform music of all ages on modern as well as period instruments. Besides giving concerts in South Tyrol, Musica Saeculorum has performed at the Internationale Barocktage Stift Melk, at the Kölner Philharmonie, the Philharmonie Essen and at the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence
