Having studied the violin and composition, Marco Ambrosini took up the Swedish folk instrument nyckelharpa (‘keyed fiddle’) and is now considered a pioneer in the field outside of Scandinavia. He is sought-after as performer and soloist, appearing at venues such as La Scala in Milan, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Kölner Philharmonie and Carnegie Hall in New York. Ambrosini teaches at several European conservatories and has participated on more than 150 recordings for TV, radio and CDs.
