The highly acclaimed Latvian cellist Reinis Birznieks has performed on the most important stages of Europe and North America. Educated in Rīga and St Petersburg, he is a member of the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra in Finland and of the RIX Piano Quartet based in Latvia. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Estonian and Latvian National Orchestras, Schleswig-Holstein Orchestra and Sinfonietta Rīga, and has performed with some of today’s greatest artists such as Vadim Gluzman, Maxim Rysanov, Peter Jablonski, Julian Rachlin, Janine Jansen, Daniel Raiskin and Torleif Thedéen.
