A passionate chamber musician, the violinist Malin Broman has toured extensively as a member of the Kungsbacka Piano Trio and Nash Ensemble. In 2008 she was appointed leader of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Since then she has per formed Brahms’s Double Concerto with Steven Isserlis conducted by Daniel Harding, received rave reviews for Nielsen’s Violin Concerto and premièred concertos written for her by Helen Grime, Britta Byström, Andrea Tarrodi, Daniel Börtz, Daniel Nelson and Jesper Nordin. She regularly directs the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and is now in demand as a musical director/soloist. Engagements include performances with the Scottish Ensemble, Tapiola Sinfonietta, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Trondheim Soloists and Nordic Chamber Orchestra. Since 2019 she has been artistic director of the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra in Finland. Malin Broman was elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in 2008 and in 2019 she was awarded H. M. The King’s Medal for her services to music.
