Sławomir Holland studied at the Wrocław faculty of the Kraków National Academy of Theatre Arts and graduated in 1984. He has appeared in some fifty roles on stage, including plays by Gogol, Shakespeare, Harwood, Dürrenmatt and Molière. Holland’s monodrama Nothing New Under the Sun was awarded the Golden Leaf Retro Award in 2012. He has performed it more than 140 times, in Poland and in London and Israel. Sławomir Holland has also appeared in more than a hundred films and television series, working with such directors as Agnieszka Holland, Steven Spielberg, Andrzej Wajda, Peter Edwards and Krzysztof Zanussi. In 2012 he was invited by Krzysztof Penderecki to participate in a recording of the composer’s Seventh Symphony.
