Jacob Kellermann

The Swedish-born Jacob Kellermann has established himself as one of the most active guitarists of his generation. Regularly performing at major Swedish venues, he has appeared internationally in venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Prinzregententheater and Gasteig Munich, Tokyo Bunkakaikan, Seoul Art Center and Brucknerhaus Linz. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Orquesta de Valencia (Spain), Querétaro Philharmonic Orchestra (Mexico), Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra (South Korea) and Gävle Symphony Orchestra (Sweden).  In demand as a chamber musician, Kellermann regularly performs with string players and singers all over Europe. Together with the violinist Daniel Migdal, he performs as ‘Duo KeMi’ and, since their début in 2005, they have played more than 120 concerts across Sweden and have made critically acclaimed appearances in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, China and South Korea.  With an extensive repertoire that often features his own transcriptions, Jacob Kellermann constantly searches for new expressive possibilities for the guitar. Close collaborations with composers including José María Sánchez-Verdú, Francisco Coll, Benjamin Staern and Jesper Nordin have resulted in numerous works written directly for him. He has premièred new guitar concertos with the major Scandinavian new music ensembles BIT20 Bergen and Norrbotten NEO. Jacob Kellermann is also a member and co-founder of the Dutch-based New European Ensemble. For more information, please visit Jacob Kellermann's website.
