The Kraków Philharmonic Choir was founded in 1945. Consisting of 85 singers, it presents a rich repertoire of oratorios and a cappella works from the 17th century to the present day. It appears at major festivals at home and abroad, and tours throughout Europe as well as in Iran, Canada, Turkey and the USA. It has appeared alongside leading orchestras including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, and has participated in significant international events such as the Canonization Mass of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in 2014.
