Lisa Larsson

The Swedish soprano Lisa Larsson studied singing in Switzerland. Her first engagement was at the Zurich Opera House, where she performed under conductors such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Franz Welser-Möst. Her début at La Scala, under Riccardo Muti, was the starting point of an international opera career, in particular as a Mozart interpreter, appearing at important opera houses and festivals. With the vocal flexibility to embrace a most diverse repertoire, Lisa Larsson has worked with leading conductors and orchestras including Claudio Abbado, Sir Colin Davis, David Zinman, Antonio Pappano, the Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Symphoniker, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and NHK Symphony Orchestra. In the field of baroque music, she has collaborated with conductors such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Ton Koopman, Frans Brüggen and their orchestras. Lisa Larsson has premièred a number of contemporary works and especially enjoys performing the song cycles dedicated to her by Rolf Martinsson. Her extensive discography ranges from Bach oratorios and cantatas to Mahler symphonies.
