Miah Persson



The internationally renowned Swedish soprano Miah Persson appears worldwide as a recitalist and concert artist as well as on the operatic stage. Eminent conductors with whom she has collaborated include Sir Colin Davis, Daniel Barenboim, Anto­nio Pappano, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Sir Charles Mackerras, Marc Minkowski and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

Recent roles include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Wiener Staatsoper, Aspasia in Mitridate at the Drottningholm Court Theatre, Donna Elvira in Don Gio­vanni at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the New National Theatre Tokyo and with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel, as well as the Countess in concert performances of Le Nozze di Figaro with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. 

Miah Persson has appeared in many of the world’s leading opera houses, with career highlights such as the roles of Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the Metropolitan Opera, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Zerlina in Don Giovanni at Covent Garden, Sifare in Mitridate and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the Salzburg Festival, Sophie and Susanna at the Vienna State Opera, Fiordiligi, Donna Elvira, Anne Trulove in The Rake’s Progress and the Governess in The Turn of the Screw at the Glyndebourne Festival, Fiordiligi at the Bayerische Staatsoper, as well as performances at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, Paris Opera, Frankfurt Opera, Theater an der Wien and Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona. In 2011 Miah Persson was appointed court singer by the King of Sweden.
