Viola player Lawrence Power has won acclaim for his rich sound, technical mastery and passionate
advocacy for new music. He appears regularly with leading orchestras including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Concertgebouworkest, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia and the Royal Stockholm and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestras, collaborating with conductors such as Osmo Vänskä, Paavo Järvi, Vladimir Jurowski and Ilan Volkov.
As a chamber musician, Lawrence Power is in much demand at Verbier, Salzburg, Aspen, Oslo and other festivals, performing with artists such as Steven Isserlis, Simon Crawford-Phillips, Vilde Frang and Joshua Bell. He is founder and artistic director of the West Wycombe Chamber Music Festival, and in 2021 was named associate artist at the Wigmore Hall.
