Matthew Rose made his acclaimed début in 2006 at Glyndebourne and has since appeared with prestigious companies including La Scala, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Metropolitan Opera and Deutsche Oper Berlin. Roles he has appeared in range from Leporello (Don Giovanni) to Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and include King Marke (Tristan und Isolde) and Baron Ochs (Der Rosenkavalier). In concert he has performed with leading orchestras and eminent conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Gustavo Dudamel, Vladimir Jurowski, Sir Charles Mackerras, Yannick Nézet-Seguin and Antonio Pappano. Matthew Rose’s recital appearances include the Brighton, Chester and Cheltenham International Festivals, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall, Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
