Yevgeny Sudbin has been hailed by the Daily Telegraph as ‘potentially one of the
greatest pianists of the 21st century’. He has worked with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and many others, collaborating with eminent conductors such as Neeme Järvi, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Osmo Vänskä,
Andrew Litton, Dima Slobodeniouk and Vassily Sinaisky. He also performs regularly in many of the world’s finest venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Ton halle Zürich, Royal Festival Hall, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and New York’s Avery Fisher Hall. Born in St Petersburg in 1980, Yevgeny Sudbin began his musical studies at the Specialist Music School of the St Petersburg Conservatory with Lyubov Pevsner at the age of five. He emigrated with his family to Germany in 1990 where he continued his studies at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler with Galina Ivanzova. In 1997 he moved to London to study at the Purcell School and subsequently the Royal Academy of Music. In 2010, he was awarded a Fellowship by the Royal Academy and is now a visiting professor. Yevgeny Sudbin lives in London with his wife and three young children and, in his spare time, he is an avid photographer.
