Praised by The Washington Post as a ‘jaw-dropping pianist who steals the show… with effortless finesse’, Amy Yang has collaborated with Patricia Kopatchinskaya, the Dover, Aizuri and Jasper Quartets, members of Guarneri String Quartet, Richard Goode, Roberto Díaz, Tito Muñoz and members of Mahler Chamber Orchestra. As a soloist, she has worked with Houston Symphony, Orquesta Juvenil Universitaria Eduardo Mata (Mexico) and National Youth Orchestra of USA. Amy Yang has premièred and recorded music by Caroline Shaw, Avner Dorman, Ezra Laderman and Michael Hersch. A participant in the Mitsuko Uchida Workshop at Carnegie Hall, her festival appearances include the Marlboro, Ravinia, Ojai and Aldeburgh Festivals. She lives in Philadelphia and is a member of the chamber faculty at Curtis Institute of Music and University of Pennsylvania.
