Cecilia Zilliacus

Cecilia Zilliacus studied the violin at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne. As a soloist she has performed with most Swedish, as well as many Nordic and European symphony orchestras. A dedicated chamber musician, Zilliacus performs in different constellations in Sweden and abroad, collaborating with internationally active musicians and com posers. She is the co-curator, with cellist Kati Raitinen, of a series at the Stockholm Concert Hall, as well as artistic director of Katrina Chamber Music on Åland, having held the same post at the Korsholm Music Festival in Vaasa, Finland (2018–22).
Cecilia Zilliacus’ efforts to draw attention to lesser-known composers have resulted in an extensive repertoire ranging from the great classical and romantic works to contemporary chamber music. She is also interested in collaborations across genres, working with jazz and folk musicians, singer-song writers and many others. A growing discography includes a number of internationally acclaimed recordings. Cecilia Zilliacus is a professor of violin at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.
