Noriko Ogawa appears with the major European, Japanese and US orchestras and made her BBC Proms début in 2013, returning the following year. A renowned recitalist and chamber musician, she has collaborated with musicians such as Steven Isserlis, Michael Collins, Peter Donohoe and the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Ensemble. An advocate of new music, she has been involved in numerous premières including works by Dai Fujikura and Richard Dubugnon. Noriko Ogawa is the chairperson of the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition. Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she is also a specially appointed professor at Tokyo College of Music. Her numerous recordings for BIS include acclaimed cycles of the solo piano music by Debussy and Satie.
